There is the most gorgeous apple blossom on the two trees this year. I don’t actually remember it being this lovely in previous years. It is funny how your attention moves from one thing to another.
Last year we had a brilliant crop of apples, especially from the second. taller tree, and although I know that the weather was particularly kind to the apple crops last year, I am hoping that we have similar this year.
I would very much love to get my hands on an apple press this year. If we become rich between now and then, I will buy one outright!
Speaking of blossoms and the fact that bees are in short supply, this week there was an entry on our smallholders’ group from a guy with a bit of land, offering to *host* a bee hive. Ohhh – how I would have loved to have been able to have taken him up on this offer – but he is just too far away from me.
When we have our plot of land . . . . bee hives . . . *goes off in wishful thinking*
