GOOD NEWS:

The girls were let out to free range this evening when we got home. They were out for ages and I even left them out unsupervised while I went in to make the tea! I felt like a mummy letting her child out to play in the streets for the first time.

The good good news is that Summer actually jumped through the exterior pop-hole without any encouragement. She was out for ages and seemed to enjoy herself scraping around. Of course, it goes without saying, she didn't come anywhere near me the whole time I was out but it was great to see her taking part. Buffy was the only one who didn't bother coming out to play - I wonder when she will join in.

By the time it was getting dark I went out to round them up - going round the garden the long way and not finding them anywhere. I had a moment of worry that they had found a way out through the fence but then I nipped over to the shed. They had all gone back in to the run and then in to the shed - all on their own! YAY! How clever are MY GIRLS?

BAD NEWS:

No eggs today. :O GIRLS! What are you doing? NONE AT ALL? Tut tut. There had better be double rations tomorrow!

I think they are getting too many treats at the moment. We'll have to start cutting back on the corn and grapes and concentrate on the mash more!
